Wie man Windows XP auf einem Intel-Mac installiert [Update_3]
Inzwischen gibt es die Anleitung des 'XP on Mac'-Siegers zum Download. Eine gute halbe Stunde sollte man für die Prozedur allerdings schon einplanen, außerdem werden zwingend benötigt:
- eine Original-XP PRO SP2 CDROM
- die 'xom.zip'-Datei (dem Download beiliegend)
- Nero Burning ROM
- ein Rohling
- eine Windows-Kiste.
Update: Auf ebay werden schon Dual-Boot Mac minis zum Kauf angeboten. Startpreis: 1000$.
Update_2: Kurzes Interview mit Colin Nederkoorn, der den Wettbewerb angeleiert hatte, bei CNET:
«"Originally you started the contest to see if you could have your work machine be a Mac. Is that right?"
Nederkoorn: "Yeah, that's still the plan, once there are a few more drivers working and confirmed, then I can migrate my MacBook Pro."»
Update_3: Das inzwischen erreichbare onmac.net-Wiki sammelt relevante Informationen, u.a. mit eigener Seite zu Treibern.

Dem Forenmitglied "narf2006" aus dem OnMac-Forum ist es gelungen, Windows XP auf einem Intel iMac zu installieren. Die Lösung gibt es mittlerweile auch als Download.
