Core 2 Duo-Mac mini (und iMac) kurz bevorstehend?

Einmal mehr wurde eine Mac mini-Großbestellung abgelehnt, wie FreeMacBlog.com erzählt. Als dies dem Schreiber das letzte Mal passierte, folgte wenige Tage später das neue Modell: «I needed to order another bunch to use as Mac mini servers (and to add to my great wall of Apple boxes) but I was told by the reseller (name withdrawn so they don’t get in trouble) that they can’t take big orders (again), but after Labor Day they’d be able to ship plenty of the new model.» AppleInsider bestätigt dies mit einer unabhängigen Quelle: «Bolstering the blogger's latest report is independent confirmation from a well-placed AppleInsider source who claims that Apple's refusal to fill large orders is worldwide. Mac mini availability is expected to improve within two weeks time when new shipments begin, the source said.» Auch Best Buy listet bereits Mac mini und iMac als 'sold out', insofern darf am oder ab dem 05. September (immerhin ein Dienstag) durchaus mit einem aufgefrischten Mac mini und möglicherweise auch iMac gerechnet werden, die dann in der ein (Merom) oder anderen (Conroe) Form vermutlich Core 2 Duo-Prozessoren einsetzen dürften.
