Editing 'Intolerable Cruelty' (Update)

"Joel and Ethan Coen have always written, directed, edited and produced their own films. But “Intolerable Cruelty” is the first film they edited digitally — and they used the Mac and Final Cut Pro to do it".
"Making their screen debut in 1984 with the noir-ish thriller “Blood Simple” — a story, Ethan once described as “ordinary people doing bad things to each other in the dark” — the Coen Brothers have since produced a body of work known for its black comedy, sarcastic wit and, often, harsh brutality. Because they work mostly independently, they have been free to make films the way they want without interference from movie studios. Since “Blood Simple,” the Coens have entertained us with films such as the hyperkinetic “Raising Arizona” (1987), “Miller’s Crossing” (1991), “Barton Fink” (1991), “The Hudsucker Proxy” (1994), their breakout hit “Fargo” (1996), “The Big Lebowski” (1998), “O Brother Where Art Thou?” (2000), and “The Man Who Wasn’t There” (2001)."
