Laue Gerüchte zur WWDC und zum iMac G5 [Update]

macnews.net.tc listet einige weithin bekannten Gerüchte zu Apples WWDC im Juni und vergibt Prozentwertungen für die Plausibilität, so bekommt ein Power Mac G5 mit bis zu 3GHz 99%, während ein iTablet genau 0% für sich verbuchen kann: "Please keep in mind that Apple is shifting their focus from MWNY/MWBO to WWDC, as it seems. And while WWDC is clearly a developer event, it gets enough attention from the press for Apple to also release consumer products at the show. We're expecting that quite a big part of Steve's keynote at WWDC will be about Apple's new hardware products, while prosumer/consumer applications will probably take almost no time there."

Währenddessen liefert MacRumors, die in letzter Zeit auffallend wenig Neuigkeiten aus eigener Quelle lieferten, vage Hinweise auf einen baldigen iMac G5: "Most specifically, sources report that a PowerPC G5 based iMac is in the works and should represent the next iMac revision."

Update 11.05.04:
AppleInsider hat ein 90nm-Gerücht mit neuen PowerMacs rund um die WWDC:
"According to the source, all of the test models were equipped with dual processors ranging in speeds from 2.2GHz to 2.6GHz. The source, however, notes that there is no indication that configurations of the test units represent final specs for Power Macs that would be sent to production." Neue Displays seien allerdings unwahrscheinlich, da der Bestand der aktuellen noch zu heftig wäre.
