Der Wert der Marke Apple rangiert auf Platz 43 der diesjährigen Top 100 von Business Week/Interbrand: "The loyal, if sometimes nagging, band of true believers behind No. 43 Apple -- combined with tremendous success of the iPod -- helped the dollar value of the brand jump 23.7%, to $6.9 billion, over the past year.[...] A dollar value is calculated for each brand using a mix of publicly available data, projected profits, and variables like market leadership." Der dazugehörige Business Week Artikel, die Top 100 als.pdf und wen die Methodik interessiert: FAQ bei Interbrand.

Zukunftsmusik (möglicherweise irgendwann 2005) bei Think Secret: "Known officially as the PowerPC 970MP, the chip will feature two interconnected microprocessors on a single 13.225mm x 11.629mm die -- a first for the 970 processor family. Each core will have its own 1MB L2 cache, sources said; the 970FX has only 512KB. L3 cache will not be supported."

Interessanter Größenvergleich der iPod Generationen im PC Magazine, nicht klar ist leider, welche Modelle genau verwendet wurden.

Die große iPod 4G Besprechung bei ipodlounge.com, Teil 1 für iPod Neulinge: "With all of this said, the new iPods aren't perfect. They don't truly break new price point ground, look fractionally less classy than the third-generation iPod, and represent little innovation given the time they took to release. For these reasons, they won't satisfy everyone, but we think that new iPod buyers will be thrilled by them - or pretty close."

Und Apple demonstriert, wie man den iPod am besten anfasst:

Total A##hole Compression: "The secret of TAC compression is not that it makes files smaller, but that it makes files bigger, much bigger. This provides the end user with a compression tool to meet almost any need in today's bandwidth and gig overloaded computing world." (via Cult of Mac)

Und natürlich gibt es selbst am Wochenende konstant beharrliche Fehler.
