Safari kann per Softwareaktualisierung oder Direktdownload (Safari 2.0.1, 4,5MB und Safari 1.3.1 für 10.3-Verfechter, 3,8MB) auf den neusten Stand gebracht werden: "Safari version 2.0.1 for Mac OS X Tiger improves website compatibility, application stability and support for 3rd party web applications." Neustart ist erforderlich. Fast noch wichtiger: Es gibt bereits ein Saft Update v8.1.3 für die neue Safari-Version.

Creative greift auf der Suche nach einem iPod-Killer nach ganz neuen Mitteln: "Creative has announced that a certain batch of Zen Neeon of 5GB HDD has the "W32.Wullik.B@mm" virus. The W32.Wullik.B@mm infects Windows based PC's and sends emails to the addresses registered in Outlook." Mehr bei New Launches.
Update: Das ist noch nicht alles aus dem Hause Creative für heute: "Still waiting to see whether they patent their unique process for putting worms on MP3 players, but in the meantime Creative just scored a patent for its user interface for portable media players. To make things simple for us they’re dubbing this the “Zen Patent”, and, surprise, surprise, they’re already making some noise about how the patent covers the UI used in the iPod and iPod mini", so Engadget. Das langweilt schon jetzt beinahe genauso wie die 'Microsoft hat iPod erfunden'-Geschichte. Man überlasse die Geschichte lieber den Patentanwälten als ein paar unterbezahlten sommerbelochten Online-Redakteuren.

FTP-Client Cyberduck (Free-/Donationware) kommt seit gestern in Version 2.5 daher "which introduces support for FTP over TLS and a new extended list view which makes browsing files on servers even easier. It also comes with a Spotlight importer and .Mac Syncing for bookmarks besides general optimizations to be even faster when browsing large directories."
