Der Cube von Apples Fifth Avenue Retail Store beginnt sich zu entblättern während Gary Allen natürlich schon aufmerksam vor Ort ist und kontinuierlich aktualisierte Berichte (inklusive Fotos und Videos) aus New York liefert: «The black plastic wrapping has come off The Cube at the store, and it revealed a surprise--a huge white, floating Apple logo inside. The face of the logo is milky white and about 12-inches thick. It appears to float about half-way back in the 32-foot cube, and about one-third down from the top, suspended from the top of the cube by a substantial stainless steel pole. The sides of the logo are stainless steel.» Heute ist Presseführung, morgen Eröffnung. «Here's a juicy one for you guys on the new Apple store grand opening on Friday. Rumor has it that Apple has requested that a street (presumably 58th or 59th) be closed for the performance of a major live band. Inzwischen wurde erstmals die Beleuchtung in Betrieb genommen und der Anfang der Warteschlange wurde bereits von 'Stormy Shippy' aus Texas belegt, der schon für die Eröffnung des Apple Store London tagelang vorher ausharrte.
