Analyst: Apples Mobiltelefon kurz vor Produktionsbeginn [Update]

Laut ATR-Analyst Shaw Wu steht der Produktionsbeginn für Apples sagenumwobenes Mobiltelefon direkt bevor. Kurzerhand als Smartphone klassifiziert, umschreibt es Wu folgendermaßen (wie AppleInsider aus seinem Bericht zitiert): «"The design will be an iPod nano-like candy bar form factor and come in three colors (we are not certain of the exact colors but we suspect black, white and platinum, similar to Apple's current color scheme of iPods and Macs."» Wann und wie Apple allerdings genau in den gut gefüllten Smartphone-Markt vorstoßen will, ist natürlich auch Wu bislang entgangen, allerdings rechnet er dadurch vorab bereits mit rund 100 Millionen Dollar Mehr-Umsatz in Apples fiskalischem Jahr 2007. «Apple chief executive Steve Jobs "is finally satisfied with the end product Apple engineers have produced in terms of quality and the right blend of cell phone and portable media player."»
