iPhone-Video: Tastatur [Update]

Beinahe jeder Tag sorgt für ein neues lehrreiches Video vom iPhone (natürlich mit Bob) - heute: Die virtuelle Tastatur und die mitdenkende Autokorrektur (derzeit rein englisch). Sie präsentiert Korrekturvorschläge und ähnliche Worte aus den in QWERTZ-Manier umliegenden Buchstaben (z.B. "pizza" für ein getipptes "ouzza"). Zudem wird der vermutlich als nächstes zu drückende Buchstaben "vergrößert" und soll so leichter zu treffen sein. Das eingebaute Wörterbuch lernt außerdem eigene Wortschöpfungen und kennt die im Adressbuch abgelegten Namen. Da die Tastatur sich ihrem Zweck anpasst (z.B. .com und / als Direktzugriff für Safari-URL-Eingaben), bleibt zu hoffen, dass Apple Satzzeichen wie Punkt und Komma künftig auf die "Haupttastatur" verlagert.
Update 28.06.07 00:10 Uhr: «Apple says that words you’ve added to the dictionary actually age. If you stop using some custom term, the iPhone gradually learns to forget it. That’s handy behavior if you never intended for that word to become part of the dictionary to begin with (that is, it was a mistake).
