Safari 4.0.5: Verbesserungen bei Plugins und Top-Sites, gestopfte Sicherheitslücken

Über die Softwareaktualisierung oder apple.com lässt sich Safari 4.0.5 beziehen: Das Update umfasst laut Apple folgende Verbesserungen: "Leistungsverbesserungen für Top Sites. Stabilitätsverbesserungen für Drittanbieter-Plug-Ins. Stabilitätsverbesserungen für Websites mit Onlineformularen oder skalierbaren Vektorgrafiken (SVG). Behebung eines Problems, bei dem Safari die Einstellungen auf manchen Linksys-Routern nicht ändern konnte und die Behebung eines Problems, bei dem manche iWork.com-Benutzer Dokumente nicht kommentieren konnten". Die unter Snow Leopard gute 30 MB große Aktualisierung beseitigt außerdem etliche Sicherheitslücken (im Anschluss in voller Länge nachzulesen) und setzt einen anschließenden Neustart voraus.
